Dexter and Sarek eat lunch for perhaps the last time over at Athens
street, the Millers are moving down the road 10 miles to Pacifica.
They will have nice suburban yard space for the boys, but we'll visit
mostly for the company.

Sarek. Too spicy for him, but he is starting to try more veggies.

Anniversary

Brett and I got away for a few hours tonight on our anniversary. Our sixth! We got in leisure time outside a Church St. coffeehouse and enjoyed the sun. We found we could still talk like the old days...conversations that had nothing to do with kids: the pope scandal, multitasking and the havoc it wreaks on the brain, alaska, the sci fi book, Red Mars. We then dashed off to a delicious dinner at the Moss Room at the Academy of Sciences. A gem of a find and our first date in four months involving real silverware, cloth napkins, candles, where kidproofing was not a factor in choice.

The Millers invited us along to see the Harlem Globetrotters at the Cow Palace in SF. Sarek and Dexter were more interested in running around the 1/2 (or more) empty stadium.

I'm glad I remember the Meadowlark Lemon days.

Well she is not running, but she can start walking around table these days. Full fledged indepentdent locomotion is imminent.

Sarek went the whole day yesterday without a diaper and no accidents!!

Nola and Brett at her Monday swim group. The really sad thing is that both Brett and I can't remember who Sarek was with during this time....Jaretta? We sure hope so. Proof that sleep deprivation is alive and well here on Gates St.

The Big Four-O

Sarek went to the doctor today and weighed in at 40 pounds! Yikes. That's a 3 pound growth spurt in 3 months if you factor in a pound of clothing weight. It makes my lap and hips and arms tired just thinking about his heft. No wonder it took 4 days for him to be born!

The Anne-Marie

Perry took Brett and Sarek to see his new sailboat, The Anne-Marie, which is docked at Treasure Island. Sarek loved it. For some reason, he thinks the boat is "silly." We hope to take him out for his first sail after we get him a life vest.

Sarek was feeling groggy so he ordered expresso at the Cafe. And I
thought he liked lattes.

Easter 2010

Comb-A-Thon

It took olive oil, conditioner, lotion, and two MallaLadies to get through Nola's hair on Easter Eve.  Gigi and Tia are here to help celebrate the holiday. Tomorrow, we hunt!

Melis

We had visit from Banu's friend Melis. We hadn't seen her since we were all teary eyed at Banu's departure. There was of course plenty of talk of missing Banu.

Deena made Melis her first Indian meal. And Melis brought over a yummy mango cheesecake from Chestnut St.
